At IBFML we try to provide opportunities for CAS for students looking for one that suits them. At the moment, we have two opportunities, which both fulfill the service requirement.
The first one is writing articles relating to technology for Plomonet. Plomonet is a website that provides reviews and news on various technology relating areas, and currently are looking for people who can write articles for them. You may apply as a full time editor to participate in it as a major, as well as continue after your graduation where you may be offered some financial income upon your continuation (You cannot be offered financial income in order to qualify this as a CAS activity). On the other hand, you are also able to simply submit one article for publication to receive 1 to 2 hours of service hours. Please visit the Join Us page for more details. There is no information regarding CAS there as this is a special opportunity offered to IB FML users. But if you simply want to submit one article you can follow the instructions regarding guest articles. You simply need to inform one of the members of plomonet that you want to be signed CAS hours.
The other offer that we have at the moment is submission of your notes made for IB to http://www.ibcram.com. This is a great opportunity for you to gain CAS hours from making notes for your study - you can kill two birds with one stone. It is a website still currently under development, and we can help you have hours signed.
